A New Angle... A New Outlook...

Some air their judgements
some judgements slip through the body language
some keep it to themselves
some have reservations
some express concern
some don't judge at all
some even encourage
they are all 'rights' that people have or things that people do
some make me angry and some full of gratitude
now I stopped and listened to the wisemen
they say thank the kind people
inform the unreasonable ones when I can
but do what it takes to prove them wrong when I feel angry about what they did
cos they ain't worth my precious time
so leave the retribution to the invisible hand

Respect! Your Majesty

Madonna has always been a woman that I admire. Her most influential quality in my opinion is that she never ceases to challenge the typical image of women perceived by the society. I agree with the journalist Hugh Wilson that most of us are just not comfortable with a strong, dynamic and sexy woman who is 48; whereas it is alright for the 62-year-old Keith Richards to keep rocking with the Rolling Stone, singing old songs whilst Madonna is churning out album that still breaks sale record.

Go Tiger!

For reason unknown to me, I have always been attracted to the golfing legend ever since his first pro game 11 years ago. He is the same age as me and a capricorn, my astrological love match according to one psychological test, maybe that was the explanation?! ;-) What a shame he is married to a tall beautiful blonde :-P (someone won't like this but day dreaming is supposed to be harmless)
Could you imagine he was this cute as a baby?! He imitated his dad's swing when he was six months old. His childhood ambition was to beat his dad at a game of golf, sweet!
That's it, I am taking up golf so I can make my own Tiger one day :-D

Shrink for the Judgementals!! Help Yourselves!!!

From The 60-Second Shrink: 101 Strategies for Staying Sane in a Crazy World by Arnold A. Lazarus, Ph.D. and Clifford N. Lazarus, Ph.D.
~~being judgemental is an unattractive trait. If you look around, you’ll find that most judgemental people are disliked and avoided~~
~~Judgemental people state their views and observations in authoritative terms; they decree what is right and wrong, what should and should not be, what is good or bad~~
~~Making a simple judgement, however, does not carry these ominous overtones~~
~~We make judgements constantly... As soon as we add "therefore" to the observation, we are likely to be judgemental~~

Judgemental vs. Me

"I will wear whatever and blow whomever I want as long as I can breathe and kneel." -Samantha
~~in the privacy of Samantha's office, a hunky Worldwide Express guy delivers a 'package' that Samantha can't resist opening immediately. While Samantha provides a service of her own to the delivery guy, Carrie walks in and right back out~~
~~A couple days later, Carrie apologizes for being judgmental. Sam relaxes and admits she judges herself too~~
Remember Sex and the City...? Who can forget?! I can't. I hope one day all the people who have judge me and my partner will have the grace of Carrie and apologise to us. You know who you are, people, you bunch of racists!!
